Edward A. Aguilar, J.D.
Pennsylvania Director

Ed was president, Lawyers Alliance for World Security (LAWS) Pennsylvania (1986-2006), led in D.C. by former U.S. Disarmament Ambassador, Tom Graham, Jr. In that capacity he worked to assist in writing the first drafts of the Nuclear Weapons Convention, now known as the Nuclear Ban Treaty. In 2012, Ed was appointed Pennsylvania Director of the Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA), his current position. After nuclear arms, CFPA calls global warming the second existential crisis for humanity, and seeks its end by US and global action. Ed is active in lobbying Congress for peace, climate action, and racial and economic justice, and most recently to help end the illegal invasion and war in Ukraine.
In 2015, Ed co-founded the No Wars, No Warming campaign at CFPA, which he chairs. Ed is married to Conna Clark, a talented fine arts expert, and they have two great grown children, Cris and Julia. Ed is a Board member, United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia, and Resolution Media Fund, based in the Poconos, which produced Groundswell Rising, feature film on ending fracking.
